Day 5

After breakfast, take the free hotel shuttle to the airport for your 2-hour international flight to Livingstone Airport, Zambia. You will be met at Livingstone and transferred to your hotel on the banks of the Zambezi River, near the mighty Victoria Falls.

Check in, settle-in and relax whilst you catch your first glimpses of the magnificent "Smoke That Thunders”, one of the greatest natural wonders of the world. The flow of water over the Victoria Falls is greatest during the wet months (February to June) but the falls are a magnificent sight at any time of year.

This 212 bedroom Resort Hotel is situated on the banks of The Zambezi with views towards the Falls which are a short walk away - in fact the Zambezi Sun is the closest of all the Hotels to the Falls.

Part of the Sun International Group, renowned for their 'themed' resorts, The Zambian Sun has the feel of a walled city, centuries old - despite the fact it was only opened in 2001.

Rooms are low slung and airy overlooking onto a cool landscaped pool area, while the restaurant and bar are focused around the central pool. The two-storey en-suite rooms have private balconies that welcome the morning sun. Outside, the earth colours are soothing and soft. Inside, the airy rooms are alive with ethnic reds, blues and oranges.

Amenities in the rooms include independent air-conditioning, satellite TV, fold-out couches, safe and telephone. The central reception area houses a family-friendly, high quality buffet restaurant, a pool bar and a lively alfresco grill and entertainment area.

The Zambezi Sun is a place where friends and family can relax and enjoy Africa's greatest natural wonder in true African style.

The Resort complex also features restaurants, tourist shops and Business Centre for the Conference Delegates for whom the Zambezi Sun and The Royal Livingstone Hotel are ideal destinations.

Days 6 & 7

Today explore the mighty Victoria Falls situated close to your hotel and offering magnificent views.

Later relax by the swimming pool and enjoy the many pleasures of your hotel, or participate in one of the many local activities, such as a helicopter flight over the falls or an elephant-back safari.

Adrenalin seekers can participate in many adventure holiday activities, such as canoeing in the gentler rapids above the falls; white water rafting in the turbulent gorge below the falls (beware: grade 5); or bungi jumping from Victoria Falls Bridge!

There is also an interesting local craft market.

Day 8

This morning return transfer to Livingstone Airport for your flight back to OR Tambo International Airport. From this point you will depart under your own arrangements.
